This policy explains how TaxBloc (a trading name of MortgageBloc Limited) uses cookies and similar technologies on taxbloc.ai and in the TaxBloc app at app.taxbloc.ai.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way. We call them all "cookies" here.

Analytics (only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-4D8X3RHWKN) to see which pages are visited, for how long, and where visitors come from. We use this to improve the site. These cookies are only set after you click "Accept all" or allow analytics above.

Google processes this data and may do so outside the UK. See Google's privacy policy. If you arrive from a link in one of our emails and accept analytics, the email's reference number is recorded with your visit.
Advertising
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. If we start, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
4. Cookies in the TaxBloc app
All of these are strictly necessary:
- Login and security: a session cookie keeps you signed in and protects your account.
- Payments: Stripe may set cookies on payment pages to prevent fraud.
- Bank connections: when a client connects a bank account, Plaid's connection window may use cookies or similar storage to connect securely. These are covered by Plaid's own policies.
5. Our emails
We do not put tracking images in our emails. Links in emails about TaxBloc carry a reference number, which our website records without using cookies. See section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
6. Other ways to control cookies
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of TaxBloc working.
Google also offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.
7. Changes
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. The current version is always at taxbloc.ai/cookie-policy.
